New Species and Records of Rallicola (Mallophaga: Philopteridae) from New Guinea

Rallicola tabuensis found on Porzana tabuensis, R. maculatus found on Megacrex inepta , and R. ortygometrae philippensis found on Rallus philippensis are new species described for specimens collected in New Guinea and vicinity. New Guinea records are also given for Rallicola ortygometrae affinis and R. o. bisetosus .

Resurrection of Craspedonirmus Atricolor (Kellogg) (Phthiraptera: Philopteridae) from Brachyramphus Marmoratum (Aves: Alcidae)

Craspedonirmus atricolor (Kellogg 1896) is resurrected, redescribed, and differentiated from C. colymbinus (Denny) and C. immer Emerson. Evidence is presented that indicates Brachyramphus marmoratum is the true and type host. C. atricolor also is recorded from B. brevirostre.
