Safety and Efficiency of Cephalic Vein Puncture by Modified Seldinger Technique Compared to Subclavian Vein Puncture for Cardiac Implantable Electronic Devices. [PDF]
Cephalic vein puncture has been described as novel access for CIED implantation, promising high success rates and simplified handling. Implantation of at least one lead via CVP was successful in 90% of the patients. Total implantation and fluoroscopy times did not differ between cephalic and subclavian implantations.

Abstract Purpose According to the homeostasis model, patellofemoral pain (PFP) results from disturbed homeostasis due to vascular insufficiency in the anterior knee. Near‐Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS) measures relative changes in concentrations (in µmol/cm2) of (de‐)oxygenated hemoglobine (HHb and O2Hb).
