CDF $W$ boson mass and muon $g-2$ in type-X two-Higgs-doublet model with a Higgs-phobic light pseudoscalar [PDF]
The recent measurement of the $W$ boson mass by the CDF collaboration adds an anomaly to the long-standing discrepancy in the muon anomalous magnetic moment, $\Delta a_\mu$. Although type-X in the two-Higgs-doublet model provides an attractive solution to $\Delta a_\mu$ through a light pseudoscalar $A$, the model confronts the exotic Higgs decays of $h\

Dynamic wetting and heat transfer during droplet impact on heated bi-phobic wettability-patterned surfaces [PDF]
This paper reports the dynamic wetting behavior and heat transfer characteristics for impinging droplets on heated bi-phobic surfaces (superhydrophobic matrix with hydrophobic spots). A non-patterned superhydrophobic and a sticky hydrophobic surface acted as control wettability surfaces.

Global Analysis of General SU(2) x SU(2) x U(1) Models with Precision Data [PDF]
We present the results of a global analysis of a class of models with an extended electroweak gauge group of the form SU(2) x SU(2) x U(1), often denoted as G(221) models, which include as examples the left-right, the lepto-phobic, the hadro-phobic, the fermio-phobic, the un-unified, and the non-universal models. Using an effective Lagrangian approach,

Direct Detection of Exothermic Dark Matter with Light Mediator [PDF]
We study the dark matter (DM) direct detection for the models with the effects of the isospin-violating couplings, exothermic scatterings, and/or the lightness of the mediator, proposed to relax the tension between the CDMS-Si signals and null experiments.

Probing gauge-phobic heavy Higgs bosons at high energy hadron colliders [PDF]
We study the probe of the gauge-phobic (or nearly gauge-phobic) heavy Higgs bosons (GPHB) at high energy hadron colliders including the 14 TeV LHC and the 50 TeV Super Proton-Proton Collider (SppC). We take the process $pp\to t\bar t t\bar t$, and study it at the hadron level including simulating the jet formation and top quark tagging (with jet ...

Top-phobic heavy Higgs boson as the 750 GeV diphoton resonance [PDF]
A hint of a new resonance at a mass of 750\,GeV has been observed in the diphoton channel of LHC Run 2 at $\sqrt{s}=13$ TeV. The signal rate is too large to interpret it as a new Higgs boson in the context of weakly-coupled renormalizable models. One way is to reduce its total decay rate, which is possible if the CP-even heavy Higgs boson $H^0$ in the ...

Higgs-Boson Decay to Four Fermions Including a Single Top Quark Below $t \bar t$ Threshold [PDF]

When is a surface foam-phobic or foam-philic? [PDF]
By integrating the Young-Laplace equation, including the effects of gravity, we have calculated the equilibrium shape of the two-dimensional Plateau borders along which a vertical soap film contacts two flat, horizontal solid substrates of given wettability.

Phenomenology of the Baryon Resonance 70-plet at Large N_c [PDF]
We examine the multiplet structure and decay channels of baryon resonances in the large N_c QCD generalization of the N_c = 3 SU(6) spin-flavor 70. We show that this ``70'', while a construct of large N_c quark models, actually consists of five model-independent irreducible spin-flavor multiplets in the large N_c limit.

Direct Detection of Light "Ge-phobic" Exothermic Dark Matter [PDF]
We present comparisons of direct dark matter (DM) detection data for light WIMPs with exothermic scattering with nuclei (exoDM), both assuming the Standard Halo Model (SHM) and in a halo model - independent manner. Exothermic interactions favor light targets, thus reducing the importance of upper limits derived from xenon targets, the most restrictive ...
