Microstructural and hydration resistance study of CaO with powder surface modification by Al coupling agents: Alkoxy type and phosphate type

Ceramics International, 2021
Abstract The surface of Ca(OH)2 powders were pre-treated with alkoxy type aluminium coupling agent (ALC) and phosphate type aluminium phosphorus coupling agent (ALPC), respectively in this work. The shaped specimens were calcinated at 1600 °C for 3 h and then the phase compositions and microstructures of CaO specimens were investigated.

Phosphate coupling agents for calcium carbonate filler

Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 1982
Phosphate coupling agents, i.e., alkyl dihydrogenphosphates containing functional groups such as olefinic, chloro, methacryloxy, and mercapto, were synthesized and allowed to react with calcium carbonate filler suspended in an aqueous medium. The modification provided the filler with good dispersibility in mineral oil.

Properties of particulate resin‐luting agents with phosphate and carboxylic functional methacrylates as coupling agents

Journal of Applied Polymer Science, 2012
AbstractThis study investigated properties of resin‐luting agents using silane [3‐(trimethoxysilyl)propyl methacrylate (TSPM)], phosphoric acid methacrylate (PAM) [mono/bis(methacryloyloxyethyl (di)hydrogen phosphate)], or carboxylic acid methacrylate (CAM) [mono‐2‐(methacryloyloxy)ethyl maleate] as coupling agents between the inorganic and organic ...

Characteristics and Morphology of Nanosilica Modified with Isopropyl Tri(dioctyl Phosphate) Titanate Coupling Agent

Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, 2018
In order to improve dispersiveness of nanosilica in polymer matrix, surface organo-modification of nanosilica is necessary. This work reveals silica nanoparticles modified by titanate coupling agent isopropyltri (dioctylphosphate) titanate (KR12) in toluene solvent. Effect of reaction temperature, reaction time and reactant ratio on grafting efficiency

Mechanical and Antibacterial Properties of Silicone Rubber Compounds Filled with Silver-Zirconium Phosphate Modified by Aluminate Coupling Agent

Polymer-Plastics Technology and Engineering, 2017
ABSTRACTIn this paper, methyl vinyl silicone rubber vulcanizates were filled with silver-zirconium phosphate treated with aluminate coupling agent. The effect of the surface modification was characterized by the Fourier transform infrared and viscosity methods. The dispersion of silver-zirconium phosphate in ethanol and methyl vinyl silicone rubber was

Studies on the thermal stabilization enhancement of ABS; synergistic effect of triphenyl phosphate nanocomposite, epoxy resin, and silane coupling agent mixtures

Polymer Degradation and Stability, 2003
Abstract TPP nanocomposites (Nano TPP) were synthesized by intercalating triphenyl phosphate (TPP) into the galleries of organically modified mica-type silicate (OMTS) and any retarding effect of nanocomposites on the evaporation of TPP was investigated.

Effectiveness of 3-Aminopropyl-Triethoxy-Silane as a Coupling Agent for Phosphate Glass Fiber-Reinforced Poly(caprolactone)-based Composites for Fracture Fixation Devices

Journal of Thermoplastic Composite Materials, 2011
Silane (3-Aminopropyl-triethoxy-silane) solutions with differing concentrations (0—10 wt%) were prepared from an aqueous ethanol solution (90% ethanol + 10% deionized water, by volume). Phosphate glass fibers were immersed in these silane solutions for time periods between 15 and 120 min. It was found that the silane treatment yielded fiber mass gains
