Diverse Responses in Lattice Thermal Conductivity of n‐Type/p‐Type Wurtzite Semiconductors Driven by Asymmetric Electron‐Phonon Interactions

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 2, 9 January 2026.
It is traditionally thought that the electron‐phonon interactions have a significant impact on the lattice thermal conductivity of both heavily doped p‐type and n‐type semiconductors. However, it is found that this is invalid in most wurtzite semiconductors.

Defect‐Cascades‐Induced Photodegradation in InP/ZnSe/ZnS Quantum Dots

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 4, 19 January 2026.
Surface sulfur vacancies in InP/ZnSe/ZnS quantum dots trigger vacancy cascades under blue light, propagating toward the ZnSe interface. In situ ESR (g = 2.004, 2.012) and DFT reveal a defect‐driven shift from type‐I to type‐II band alignment, reducing radiative recombination and EQE.

Integrated Carbon Dioxide Capture and Electrochemical Conversion: Chemistry, Electrode and Electrolyzer Design, and Economic Viability

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, Volume 16, Issue 1, 7 January 2026.
This review discusses the integrated pathway of CO2 capture and its direct electrochemical conversion. It begins by discussing CO2 capture chemistries and solvent systems, followed by a detailed analysis of various CO2 release mechanisms. Key principles of reactor and catalyst design for direct CO2 electroreduction from capture media are then ...

Qualitative Comparison of LED and LASER Effects on Cutaneous Wound Healing: A Systematic Review of Experimental Studies

open access: yesCell Biochemistry and Function, Volume 44, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT This systematic review presents qualitative comparisons between LED and LASER photobiomodulation in cutaneous wound healing, limited by the substantial heterogeneity of experimental parameters. Chronic wounds represent a major clinical challenge due to prolonged healing times, high risk of infection, and increased healthcare costs ...
