Phosphide Delivery to a Cyclotrisilene [PDF]

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie International Edition, 2014
AbstractThe reactivity of the 2‐phosphaethynolate anion (PCO−) towards a cyclic trisilene (cSi3(Tip)4) is reported. The result is the net activation of the PC and SiSi multiple bonds of the precursors affording a heteroatomic bicyclo[1.1.1]pentan‐2‐one analogue ([P(CO)Si3(Tip)4]−; 1).

Fatal aluminium phosphide poisoning [PDF]

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Toxicology, 2015
Abstract Aluminium phosphide (AlP) is a cheap solid fumigant and a highly toxic pesticide which is commonly used for grain preservation. AlP has currently aroused interest with a rising number of cases in the past four decades due to increased use for agricultural and non-agricultural purposes.

Composition and Resulting Band Alignment at the TiO2/InP Heterointerface: A Fundamental Study Combining Photoemission Spectroscopy and Theory

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The chemical composition and band alignment are systematically investigated at the TiO2/InP heterointerface. Thin TiO2 films are deposited by ALD on atomically ordered, P‐terminated p‐InP(100). By combining UPS, XPS, and ab initio molecular dynamics, the atomistic structure and electronic alignment are revealed.

Wafer‐Scale Synthesis of Mithrene and its Application in UV Photodetectors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A controlled tarnishing step on the silver surface precedes the solid‐vapor‐phase chemical transformation into silver phenylselenolate thin films. The approach yields crystals exceeding 1 µm with improved in‐plane orientation. Integration on graphene phototransistors demonstrates high photoresponsivity, positioning mithrene as a promising material for ...

Bimetallic Nanoreactor Activates cGAS‐STING Pathway via mtDNA Release for Cancer Metalloimmunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A bimetallic Mn–Ca nanoreactor (MCC) is developed as a non‐nucleotide STING nanoagonist for cancer metalloimmunotherapy. MCC induces Ca2+ overload and hydroxyl radical generation, resulting in mitochondrial damage and mtDNA release. The released mtDNA cooperates with Mn2+ to robustly activate cGAS–STING signaling.
