ChemInform Abstract: Novel Electrochemical Pathway to Fluoroalkyl Phosphines and Phosphine Oxides.

ChemInform, 2013
AbstractElectrolysis of organofluorine iodides and white phosphorus or diphenylchlorophosphine in the presence of a Ni‐catalyst results in the formation of fluoroalkyl phosphines.

A new phosphine-sulfides-to-phosphine-oxides exchange reaction

Tetrahedron Letters, 1980
Abstract An unusual phosphine sulfide to phosphine oxide exchange reaction was found during the study of the annulation of (3,5-dimethylphenyl)-(2-hydroxy-2-methylpropyl)methylphosphine sulfide (3) using the mild cyclodehydration reagent methanesulfonic acid/phosphorus pentoxide.

Methoxyphenyl Substituted Bis(picolyl)phosphines and Phosphine Oxides

European Journal of Inorganic Chemistry, 2016
AbstractThree new derivatives of methoxyphenyl‐substituted bis(picolyl)phosphines 3–5, the CH2TMS substituted bis(picolyl)phosphine (6) and related phosphine oxides 2b–5b have been synthesized. Syntheses were accomplished by reacting the corresponding dichlorophosphines with picolylTMS (7).

On The Interactions Of Allylic Phosphines And Phosphine Oxides With n-Butyllithium

2023
The thesis explores the reactivity of allylic diphenyl phosphines and phosphine oxides with the basic reagent n-butyllithium. The lithiated intermediates were explored and characterised to understand their structure. They were then reacted with aldehydes and ketones to explore the utility of such reactions.

Preparation of Hydrazinomethylphosphonates, -Phosphinates, -Phosphine Oxides and Derivatives Thereof

Phosphorus and Sulfur and the Related Elements, 1987
Abstract Aminomethylphosphonates, -phosphinates, -phosphinoxides and many derivatives therefrom are well known compounds. The corresponding hydrazino compounds have not been described in the literature. We will present the synthesis of hydrazinomethylphosphonates, -phosphinates and -phosphinoxides II starting from an aldehyde or ketone, a phosphite, a ...

Reactions of phosphine with ketones: A route to primary phosphine oxides

Tetrahedron, 1962
Abstract Earlier work on the reaction of phosphine with carbonyl compounds is reviewed and new information is provided on the reaction of phosphines with ketones. Primary phosphine oxides (X) and 1-hydroxy secondary phosphine oxides (XI) are formed in strongly acidic media and the ratio of the two products is determined by steric factors; the former ...

Oxidation and Co-Oxidation of Tertiary Phosphines

1992
Among the possible substrates for catalytic oxidation, tertiary phosphines are perhaps the easiest to oxidize under atmospheric pressure and room temperature. Often the oxidation of a tertiary phosphine accompanies the oxidation of some organic substrate like e.g.
