Assessment of Phospholipid Malabsorption by Quantification of Fecal Phospholipid
Journal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, 2004ABSTRACTObjectives:The standard methods for quantifying fat absorption involve extraction of fat from fecal samples with heptane, ether and ethanol. These solvents do not quantitatively recover phospholipids. Malabsorption of dietary and biliary phosphatidylcholine could potentially result in choline deficiency.

Phospholipid nanosomes are small, uniform liposomes manufactured utilizing supercritical fluid technologies. Supercritical fluids are first used to solvate phospholipid raw materials, and then decompressed to form phospholipid nanosomes that can encapsulate hydrophilic molecules such as proteins and nucleic acids.

Binding of Serpins to Immobilized Phospholipids and Phospholipids in Suspension
2018Binding of serine protease inhibitors (serpins) to nonprotein ligands such as glycosaminoglycans or phospholipids has been shown to modify their inhibitory activity and-at least in the case of SERPINA5-to mediate serpin internalization into cells. Also phospholipid functions may be altered when bound to serpins or other proteins.By interacting with ...
