Proton conductivity of multifunctional metal phosphonate frameworks [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
Metal phosphonates exhibit attractive characteristics for proton conductivity, such as tunable functionality, chemical and thermal stability and the existence of H-bond networks with acidic protons within their structure.1 In the present work, we ...

A dual catalytic strategy for carbon-phosphorus cross-coupling via gold and photoredox catalysis. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
A new method for the P-arylation of aryldiazonium salts with H-phosphonates via dual gold and photoredox catalysis is described. The reaction proceeds smoothly at room temperature in the absence of base and/or additives, and offers an efficient approach ...

Multifunctional Phosphate Monomer Enabling LiNO3 Solvation and In Situ Formation of Flame‐Retardant Gel Polymer Electrolyte for High‐Voltage Lithium Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A phosphorus‐containing multifunctional monomer is successfully synthesized to simultaneously enable the dissolution of lithium nitrate in ester‐based electrolytes and in situ form a flame‐retardant gel polymer electrolyte (GPE). The formed GPE effectively stabilizes the structures of both the cathode and anode, thereby achieving superior long‐term ...

New multifunctional sulfonato-containing metal phosphonates proton conductors [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
Anchoring of acidic functional groups to organic linkers acting as ligands in metal phosphonates has been demonstrate to be a valid strategy to develop new proton conductor materials, which exhibit tunable properties and are potentially applicable to ...

Phosphonate utilization by bacteria [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Bacteriology, 1978
Bacteria able to use at least one of 13 ionic alkylphosphonates of O-alkyl or O,O-dialkyl alkylphosphonates as phosphorus sources were isolated from sewage and soil. Four of these isolates used 2-aminoethylphosphonic acid (AEP) as a sole carbon, nitrogen, and phosphorus source. None of the other phosphonates served as a carbon source for the organisms.

Advances and Perspectives in Graphene‐Based Quantum Dots Enabled Neuromorphic Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Graphene‐based QDs are zero‐dimensional carbon nanomaterials with pronounced quantum confinement and tunable electronic structures. Herein, we summarize their synthesis strategies and functionalization methods, and highlight their functional roles and operating mechanisms in devices, as well as recent advances in neuromorphic electronics. We anticipate

Multifunctional Eutectic Mixtures Enable Integrated Recovery of U, Pu, and Sr From Nuclear Waste

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel class of multifunctional eutectic mixtures, crafted from crown ether and organophosphorus molecules, achieves highly efficient, simultaneous recovery of uranium, plutonium, and strontium from nuclear waste. The material operates via a dual “coordination‐encapsulation” mechanism within self‐assembled reverse‐micelle structures, offering a ...
