Peripherally Fluorinated Tetraphenylethene: New Electron Extraction Interlayers for n‐i‐p Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Fluorinated tetraphenylethene (TPE) derivatives were developed as interfacial layers for perovskite solar cells. The optimized TFP‐TPE enhances interfacial compatibility, suppresses molecular aggregation, and improves charge extraction. Devices incorporating TFP‐TPE achieved a record efficiency of 25.29% and outstanding stability under humidity and ...

Zwitterionic (4-benzylpiperidinium-1-ylmethyl)phosphonate

open access: yesActa Crystallographica Section E, 2008
The title compound, C13H20NO3P, exists as a zwitterion: the phosphonic acid group has transferred its H atom to the amino group. The piperidine ring adopts a chair conformation. Molecules are linked via hydrogen bonding to form a linear chain.

Synthesis and Structure-Activity Relationships of Pyridoxal-6-arylazo-5'-phosphate and Phosphonate Derivatives as P2 Receptor Antagonists. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
Novel analogs of the P2 receptor antagonist pyridoxal-5'-phosphate-6-phenylazo-2',4'-disulfonate (PPADS) were synthesized. Modifications were made through functional group substitution on the sulfophenyl ring and at the phosphate moiety through the ...

Localized Heterogeneous Nucleation for Vapor‐Assisted Sequential Deposition of Metal Halide Perovskites

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
A compact, nonporous, and highly crystalline layered inorganic precursor formed by thermal evaporation inherently restricts its conversion into the halide perovskite phase during vapor‐assisted hybrid two‐step deposition. Introducing localized heterogeneous nucleation sites during vapor deposition enables deliberate modulation of the inorganic layer's ...

Benzylphosphonic Acid‐Engineered Compact Self‐Assembled Monolayers for Bifacial Buried Interface Passivation in High‐Performance Inverted Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Science
While [4‐(3,6‐Dimethyl‐9H‐carbazol‐9‐yl)butyl]phosphonic acid (Me‐4PACz) self‐assembled monolayers (SAMs) enable high‐performance inverted perovskite solar cells (PSCs), their sparse coverage on nickel oxide (NiOx) induces heterogeneous interfacial ...

EPR of Co(II) as a Structural and Mechanistic Probe of Metalloprotein Active Sites: A Review of Studies on Aminopeptidase [PDF]

open access: yes, 2002
Co(II) can often be substituted for Zn(II) in zinc-dependent metalloenzymes to provide spectroscopically accessible forms of the enzymes. Co(II) is an excellent spectroscopic probe as it is both optically active and EPR active.

Enabling Long Term, Shelf‐Stable Perovskite Solar Cells: Alumina Barriers to Protect Perovskite Devices from Moisture and Oxygen

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
This study reports a packaging strategy for perovskite photovoltaic devices using atomic layer deposition (ALD) of aluminum oxide. Through optimization of deposition temperature and oxidant chemistry, researchers develop a 50 nm barrier layer with superior water vapor (WVTR) and oxygen transmission rates (OTR).
