Two New Zinc Phosphonates with Triazine-Based Phosphonic Acids

Crystal Growth & Design, 2015
Hydrothermal reactions of Zn(CH3COO)2·2H2O with two new triazine-based phosphonic acids, 2,4,6-triglyphosate-1,3,5-triazine (H9L1) and 4,6-biglyphosate-2-hydroxyl-1,3,5-triazine (H6L2), afforded two new zinc phosphonates, namely, [(C5H14N2)Zn3(HL1)(H2O)]·3.5H2O (1) and [(C5H14N2)Zn2L2]·3H2O (2), respectively. The two zinc phosphonates were structurally

A plausibly prebiotic synthesis of phosphonic acids

Nature, 1995
The insolubility of calcium phosphate in water is a significant stumbling block in the chemistry required for the origin of life. The discovery of alkyl phosphonic acids in the Murchison meteorite suggests the possibility of delivery of these water-soluble, phosphorus-containing molecules by meteorites or comets to the early Earth.

Characterization of self-doped conducting polyanilines bearing phosphonic acid and phosphonic acid monoester

Synthetic Metals, 2014
Abstract Novel self-doped polyanilines bearing phosphonic acid, poly(2-methoxyaniline-5-phosphonic acid) (PMAP) and poly(2-methoxyaniline-5-phosphonic acid monoethyl ester) (PMAPE) were characterized in the following properties: (1) thermostability, (2) morphology in the solid state, (3) absorption and transparency in the spin-coating film, (4 ...

Cobalt phosphonates based on 4-(ethoxycarbonyl)naphthalen-1-yl)phosphonic acid

Dalton Transactions, 2013
The first examples of metal phosphonates based on 4-(ethoxycarbonyl)naphthanen-1-yl)phosphonic acid (4-cnppH2) are reported, namely, Co(4-cnpp) (1), Co2(4-cnpp)2(dptz) (2) and Co2(4-cnpp)2(4,4'-bpy)(H2O) (3) (dptz = 3,6-di(pyridin-3-yl)-1,2,4,5-tetrazine, 4,4'-bpy = 4,4'-bipyridine).

Biosynthesis of phosphonic acids in tetrahymena

Biochimica et Biophysica Acta (BBA) - General Subjects, 1968
Abstract 1. 1. The incorporation in vivo of 14 C-labeled compounds into 2-aminoethylphosphonic acid and 2-amino-3-phosphonopropionic acid in Tetrahymena indicated a glycolytic intermediate precursor. 2. 2. Incorporation of 32 P from phosphoenolpyruvic acid and from 2-amino-3-phosphonoprophonic acid into 2-aminoethylphosphonic acid was ...
