Pyrene‐Conjugated, 2‐Pyridinecarboxaldehyde Derivatives as N‐Terminus‐Specific Tags for MALDI‐ and LALDI‐MS

open access: yesRapid Communications in Mass Spectrometry, Volume 40, Issue 8, 30 April 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Proteolytic processing is a fundamental post‐translational modification. Liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry (LC–MS/MS) workflows are powerful for degradomic analyses but inherently sacrifice spatial information, a critical aspect for investigating biological systems such as aberrant extracellular matrix remodeling and ...

Using the phospha-Michael reaction for making phosphonium phenolate zwitterions

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry
The reactions of 2,4-di-tert-butyl-6-(diphenylphosphino)phenol and various Michael acceptors (acrylonitrile, acrylamide, methyl vinyl ketone, several acrylates, methyl vinyl sulfone) yield the respective phosphonium phenolate zwitterions at room ...

Molecular insights into ionic liquid/aqueous interface of phosphonium based phase-separable ionic liquids

open access: yesAIP Advances, 2019
Phosphonium based phase-separable ionic liquids (PSILs) are promising green solvents for dissolution of cellulose and lignin, a necessary step for conversion of biomass to fuels and chemicals. The knowledge of interfacial behavior of ionic liquid/solvent

Phosphine-Catalyzed Annulations of Azomethine Imines: Allene-Dependent [3 + 2], [3 + 3], [4 + 3], and [3 + 2 + 3] Pathways [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
In this paper we describe the phosphine-catalyzed [3 + 2], [3 + 3], [4 + 3], and [3 + 2 + 3] annulations of azomethine imines and allenoates. These processes mark the first use of azomethine imines in nucleophilic phosphine catalysis, producing ...

Olefin separation from FCC naphtha by deep eutectic solvents: PC‐SAFT modeling and molecular insights

open access: yesAIChE Journal, Volume 72, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract Olefin extractive separation from fluid catalytic cracking (FCC) naphtha with deep eutectic solvents (DESs) was systematically investigated in this work. In a first step, different DESs were screened for their separation performance of the binary mixture benzene/1‐hexene.
