Thermoluminescence study of electron-irradiated LiZnBO3 phosphor for dosimetry application
This work investigates the structural and thermoluminescence (TL) properties of LiZnBO3 (LZB) phosphor irradiated with 6 MeV, 9 MeV, and 12 MeV electrons in the dose range of 0.5 Gy–8 Gy, focusing on its potential for medical radiation dosimetry.

A functional interface engineering strategy is proposed to tune upconversion of NaErF4@NaYF4 core–shell nanocrystals by adjusting the amount of CF3COONa in the precursor during the shell growth. It is able to introduce controllable lattice defects at the core–shell interface to manipulate energy migration paths and non‐radiative transition of Er3 ...

Germanate tellurite glasses doped with Eu3+ and Tb3+ were synthesized by the conventional melt-quenching method. There is no indication of the energy transfer between dopant ions in this host, but the co-dopants exhibit excellent color purity of 100% for

The Application of Carbon Dots in Crops for Sustainable Agriculture
Carbon dots serve as versatile nanoagents across the crop life cycle. They promote plant growth and photosynthesis, enhance resilience to biotic and abiotic stresses, aid in postharvest preservation, and enable sensitive detection of contaminants.

High Pressure Stabilizes the Elusive Hexacoordinated Carbon
The MCF6 species (M = Ca, Sr) is more stable than the bicomponent MF2…CF4 mixture in the solid‐state at high pressure (p > 400 GPa). The main building block is the [CF6]2− unit in which carbon is hexacoordinated. Unusually high coordination number for elements has been of great interest in chemistry.
