Sensitive mechanical compression-patterned phosphorescence in the rubbery state of cross-linked polymer network [PDF]

open access: greenNature Communications
The molecular motion of polymer chains inevitably quenches phosphorescence at temperatures higher than the glass transition temperature (T g). Therefore, modulating phosphorescence at relatively high temperatures presents a significant challenge. Herein,

Phosphorescent perylene imides [PDF]

open access: yesChemical Communications, 2012
Asymmetrically substituted perylene imide derivatives PIa and PIx display phosphorescence in glassy matrices at 77 K. The lifetime is 49.0 ms for PIa and 13.5 ms for PIx. The triplet energy is 1.79 eV for PIa and 1.68 eV for PIx as confirmed by sensitization experiments of the C(60) triplet.

A direct observation of up-converted room-temperature phosphorescence in an anti-Kasha dopant-matrix system

open access: yesNature Communications, 2023
The emission maximum of phosphorescence is normally larger than that of fluorescence. Here, authors report up-converted room-temperature phosphorescence materials that emit from higher-lying triplet states with 3n-π* characters and large phosphorescence ...

A pilot study of the dynamics of tissue oxygenation in vivo using time-resolved phosphorescence imaging

open access: yesJournal of Innovative Optical Health Sciences, 2021
Oxygenation of tissues plays an important role in the development and progression of tumor to treatment effects. Method of metalloporphyrines phosphorescence quenching by oxygen is one of the ways to measure dynamics of the oxygen concentration in the ...

Photo-thermo-induced room-temperature phosphorescence through solid-state molecular motion

open access: yesNature Communications, 2022
The development of non-invasive, rapid responsive phosphorescence is highly desirable but has rarely been described. Herein, the authors designed and prepare a series of molecular rotors containing a room temperature phosphorescence active triazine core ...
