Click Chemistry and Bioorthogonal Reaction for Aggregation‐Induced Emission Bioconjugates

open access: yesAggregate, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2026.
This review highlights the construction of AIE active bioconjugates via click chemical or bioorthogonal reactions, and their applications in biosensing, bioimaging, and image‐guided treatment. The challenges and perspectives in the area are also discussed.

Coupling Molecular Rotation and Symmetry to Control Solid‐State Chiroptical Properties in Crystalline Chiral N‐Heterocyclic Carbene Au(I) Complexes

open access: yesAggregate, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2026.
Rotational dynamics within chiral NHC–Au(I) molecular crystals are shown to drive symmetry change from C2 to D2‐like arrangements. Solid‐state 2H NMR and computational studies reveal that internal motion modulates molecular symmetry, thereby affecting chiroptical properties such as temperature‐dependent emission and glum.

A Universal AIE‐Luminogen to Probe Polymer Mobility

open access: yesAggregate, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2026.
An AIE‐based fluorescent rotor, dispersed in chemically diverse thermoplastic polymers, features an emission lifetime that only depends on the local polymer mobility. Being the lifetime largely independent on the chemical nature of the polymer and on the absolute temperature, it allows to map with high resolution and specificity the cooperative ...

Dual‐Mediated Aggregate Electrochemiluminescence of Rubrene

open access: yesAggregate, Volume 7, Issue 3, March 2026.
Tripropylamine meets triarylamine: The electrochemiluminescence (ECL) behaviors of rubrene (RUB) in aqueous conditions were revolutionized by the inclusion of a triarylamine molecule (TPD) as both redox and supramolecular mediators. ABSTRACT Electrochemiluminescence (ECL) populates the luminescent excited states through electrochemical reactions. It is
