Malignancies and immunoglobulin G4‐related disease

Immunoglobulin G4‐related disease (IgG4‐RD) is associated with increased cancer risk. Malignancies affect both IgG4‐RD involved organs, such as the lung, pancreas, bile duct, and prostate, and noninvolved organs, such as the gastrointestinal duct. B‐cell neoplasms constitute a proportion of the malignancies linked to this disease.

Harmonizing NAD+ metabolism with CeMOF nanozyme to orchestrate intraocular pressure modulation for glaucoma treatment

Our findings demonstrate that NAD+ metabolism dysregulation contributes to elevated intraocular pressure in glaucoma. Supplementation with NAD+ precursors reduces IOP by alleviating oxidative stress, cellular senescence, and extracellular matrix deposition.

Chronic Cellular NAD Depletion Activates a Viral Infection‐Like Interferon Response Through Mitochondrial DNA Leakage

Chronic NAD depletion in fibroblasts lowers NAD levels, increases mitochondrial mass, and triggers an interferon‐dependent inflammatory response via mtDNA leakage through VDAC1, activating the cGAS‐STING pathway. This links NAD deficiency to metabolic and inflammatory processes, with implications for diseases associated with NAD decline.

Cardioprotective effects of the extracellular chaperone clusterin in acute myocardial infarction

In vivo, CLU−/− mice were more susceptible to acute myocardial infarction than CLU+/+ mice. Moreover, inflammation and histone levels were significantly increased in CLU−/− mice compared to CLU+/+ mice following ischemia/reperfusion. In vitro, CLU protects cardiomyocytes from histone‐ and/or hypoxia‐induced cell death.
