Implantable Self‐Powered Systems for Electrical Stimulation Medical Devices

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this paper, the design strategy and clinical application of ISS are discussed in depth from four aspects: the design and optimization of the energy collection module, the selection and preparation of adaptive electrode materials, the innovation of system design strategy, and the biological effect of electrical stimulation of ISS.

GLS1‐Mediated Redundancy in Glutamate Accelerates Arterial Calcification via Activating NMDAR/Ca2+/β‐Catenin Pathway

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
GLS1 is a novel contributor to arterial calcification. GLS1‐catalyzed glutamate exerts the promoting effects on osteogenic reprogramming in arteries. NMDAR, a glutamate receptor, is also activated and overexpressed during arterial calcification.

Surface Engineering Enabled Capacitive Gas‐Phase Water Molecule Sensors in Carbon Nanodots

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A surface engineering strategy is developed to tune the molecular affinity of carbon nanodots (CDs), leading to capacitive sensors with an impressive detection range from 11% to 98% relative humidity (RH). These sensors demonstrate high sensitivity, with 3.3 × 105 pF/RH, and an exceptional response of 1.8 × 108 % at 98% RH.

Simultaneous Harvesting of Bipolar Plasmonic Hot Carriers for Boosting Photoconductivity in Ag Nanoprism‐Coupled Lateral Si p–n Junction

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates a plasmonic hot carrier device capable of extracting both types of hot carriers simultaneously using a lateral Si p–n junction diode coupled to Ag nanoprisms. The experimental and numerical results jointly reveal precise control of the generation and injection of plasmonic hot carriers, stemming from differing injection ...

The Bioengineering of Microspheric Skin Organoids and Their Application in Drug Screening

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A novel method for the preparation of uniform microspheric skin organoids via spinning bioreactors is developed. The organoid consists of a core‐shell structure to mimic the bilayered skin structure with the epidermis on the surface. For efficient drug screening, the organoid is equipped with a luciferase reporter to detect canonical Wnt signaling, and
