Proton conduction of in-situ formed Cs2H5(SO4)2(PO4) within phosphosilicate gel
Solid State Ionics, 2012Abstract Thermal behavior and a mechanism of the proton conduction were investigated for a composite with an in-situ formed Cs2H5(SO4)2(PO4) and a phophosilicate gel. The raw material compositions investigated were 0.4CsHSO4 − xP2O5−(0.6 − x)SiO2 with x = 0.20, 0.25, and 0.30.

Abstract Proton conductive phosphosilicate gels have been prepared from tetraethoxysilane (TEOS) and various kinds of phosphorus-containing compounds such as orthophosphoric acid (H3PO4), triethylphosphate (PO(OEt)3) and 2-(diethoxyphosphoryl)ethyltriethoxysilane (DPTS) by the sol–gel method.

Abstract Changes in proton conductivities of phosphosilicate gels derived from tetraethoxysilane and phosphoric acid or triethylphosphate have been discussed on the basis of the structural changes in the gels with the heat treatment. Proton conductivities of both phosphosilicate gels increased with an increase in relative humidity, indicating that ...

Chemical heterogeneity in phosphosilicate gels by NMR magnetisation exchange
Journal of the Chemical Society, Dalton Transactions, 2001Nanometre scale chemical heterogeneity has been revealed in a phosphosilicate gel by 31P spin exchange. Monomeric phosphorus was found near to phosphorus singly cross-linked with phosphorus. Phosphorus doubly cross-linked with phosphorus was found to be remote from both other types of phosphorus species.

Formation of functional phosphosilicate gels from phytic acid and tetraethyl orthosilicate [PDF]
Phosphosilicate gels with high phosphorus content (P mol% > Si mol%) have been prepared using phytic acid as the phosphorus precursor, with tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS). It is shown that the structure of phytic acid is maintained in both the sols and those gels dried at a low temperature (i.e.

Microstructural evolution of sol-gel-derived phosphosilicate gel with heat treatment
Journal of Materials Science, 1994The microstructure of phosphosilicate gel prepared by a sol-gel process was investigated as a function of the heat-treatment temperature. Crystalline phases, Si3(PO4)4 and SiP2O7, were identified in the heat-treated phosphosilicate gel containing 56 mol% P2O5.

Solid state NMR study of phosphosilicate gels
Journal of Non-Crystalline Solids, 2004Solid state Si-29, P-31 and H-1 MAS-NMR were used to investigate structural aspects of gel-derived glasses of molar composition 10P(2)O(5).90SiO(2) (10P) and 30P(2)O(5) . 70SiO(2) (30P). P-31 MAS-NMR spectra of the 10P and 30P gels dried at 100degreesC show resonances characteristic of orthophosphoric and pyrophosphoric acid.

Structural characterization of some sol–gel derived phosphosilicate glasses
Journal of Molecular Structure, 2015Abstract A comparative study of three phosphosilicate gels of the 90SiO 2 –10P 2 O 5 composition obtained from tetraethoxysilane and three phosphorous precursors: triethylphosphate (TEP), triethylphosphite (TEPI) and H 3 PO 4 is performed. 29 Si and 31 P Magic Angle Spining NMR, X-ray Photoelectron, X-ray Fluorescence and Raman spectroscopies as ...

Phenyl-modified phosphosilicate gels for proton conductivity
2023Proton (H+) transport in membranes and solid electrolytes leads to their potential use in fuel cells and chemical sensors. Phenyl and zirconia modified phosphosilicate gels were successfully synthesized and demonstrate interesting properties that suggest that these materials have future use as proton conductors.

Phosphosilicate glass film for optical waveguide by sol-gel method
Optoelectronics Letters, 2005In this paper, silica-on-silicon erbium-doped phosphosilicate glass film material was fabricated for optical waveguides by sol-gel method. Samples were characterized and analyzed. It is demonstrated that we have got-distributed, good translucent, alterable thickness of film and glass state erbiumdoped phosphosilicate films materials for optical ...
