Role of P2O5 on Protonic Conduction in Sol-Gel-Derived Binary Phosphosilicate Glasses.
Sol-gel derived P2O5-SiO2 glasses were studied and a remarkable improvement in protonic conduction was observed by increasing the P2O5 content. This was attributed to (1) the variation in glass structure including the reduction of the degree of cross-linking skeleton and the increase of specific surface area of glass due to the non-bridging oxygen (P=O)

Phosphosilicate Gels as a Solid State Proton Conductor at Medium Temperature and Low Humidity.
Phosphosilicate (P2O5-SiO2) gels with a P/Si molar ratio of 1.0 heat-treated at 150°C were found to retain a high conductivity of 1.5×10-2S·cm-1 even after holding at a temperature of 130°C at a relative humidity of 0.7% for about 400 min. On the other hand, the conductivity of the porous silica gels impregnated with 5M H3PO4 largely decreased from 1 ...

Transferrin coated nanoparticles: Study of the bionano interface in human plasma [PDF]
It is now well established that the surface of nanoparticles (NPs) in a biological environment is immediately modified by the adsorption of biomolecules with the formation of a protein corona and it is also accepted that the protein corona, rather than ...
