A Confirmatory Case of Severe Spondylocostal Dysostosis Caused by Biallelic Loss‐of‐Function of DMRT2

open access: yesAmerican Journal of Medical Genetics Part A, Volume 200, Issue 2, Page 496-501, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Spondylocostal dysostosis (SCDO) is a rare genetic disorder characterized by abnormal development of the axial skeleton, resulting in malformations of the vertebrae and ribs that often impair lung development and lead to significant respiratory morbidity.

Coupling Aqueous Phase Chemical Actinometry with EPR Spectroscopy: An Approach for Probing Photochemical Processes at the Air–Sea Interface

open access: yesChemPhysChem, Volume 27, Issue 3, February 2026.
Photochemical investigations were coupled with radical detection for quantifying oxidative processes in sea‐surface microlayer (SML) samples. A chemical actinometry approach was employed to measure photon flux in in situ EPR experiments and under solar irradiation.

From Ink to Mockup: An Integrated Study of Historical Gall Ink Formulations and Their Impact on Paper

open access: yesChemPlusChem, Volume 91, Issue 2, February 2026.
Iron gall inks percipitates (right), and mockups upon artificial ageing (left) Iron gall inks (IGIs) played a central role as a writing medium in Western countries, leaving behind a vast legacy and significant conservation challenges. This study presents a twofold methodological approach to investigate the physicochemical behaviour of IGI‐based ...

Systems‐Level Optimization of Hybrid Produced Water Treatment Systems for Sustainable Oil and Gas Production: A Review of Current Technologies

open access: yesGlobal Challenges, Volume 10, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Produced water (PW) is the largest and most complex waste stream generated during oil and gas production, posing significant environmental, operational, and regulatory challenges due to its high salinity, dispersed hydrocarbons, toxic organics, heavy metals, and naturally occurring radioactive materials. Although numerous studies have reviewed

Ultra‐High Molecular Weight 21‐Arm Star‐Shaped Polyacrylates via Cu(0)‐RDRP

open access: yesMacromolecular Chemistry and Physics, Volume 227, Issue 3, 16 February 2026.
UHMW 21‐arm star polyacrylates are synthesized in a facile manner via Cu(0) wire‐RDRP, using a β‐cyclodextrin‐derived initiator, exhibiting low dispersity and limited star‐star coupling. End‐group fidelity is verified through in situ chain extension, while the rigid core and UHMW allow for TEM imaging of individual stars without staining.

Nanobiotechnology‐Based Approaches for Uveal Melanoma Treatment

open access: yesSmartMat, Volume 7, Issue 1, February 2026.
Emerging platforms for uveal melanoma combine precision drug delivery, ROS‐amplifying modalities, and nucleic acid transport to overcome ocular barriers and immunosuppressive niches. Targeted nanoparticles, virus‐like constructs, and injectable depots enable localized activation, controlled release, and gene‐level reprogramming.
