The objective of this study was the toxicity evaluation of landfill leachate samples both raw and after treatment by photo-Fenton (PF), biological (Bio) and photo-Fenton followed by biological (PF-Bio) processes. The organisms Artemia salina and Lactuca sativa were exposed to the leachate in different dilution.

Petrochemical Wastewater Treatment by Photo-Fenton Process
Water, Air, & Soil Pollution, 2015In recent decades, the rise in the generation of extremely toxic and refractory wastewaters, as petroleum refinery plant effluents, is demanding increasingly efficient treatment technologies, among which photo-Fenton advanced oxidation processes are highlighted due to their rapid and effective petroleum-derived pollutant degradation.

Fe-Mofs Nanosheets for Photo-Fenton Degradation of Carbamazepine
ChemosphereIron(II)-based metal organic framework (Fe(II)-MOF) nanosheets have emerged as promising candidates for photo-Fenton catalysis. However, efficiently synthesizing Fe(II)-MOF nanosheets remains a significant challenge. Here, a bottom-up synthesis strategy is proposed to prepare two-dimensional Fe-MOF nanosheets (TFMN) with micrometer lateral dimensions ...

Mineralization of pentafluorophenol using photo-Fenton processes
Desalination, 2010Abstract The mineralization of pentafluorophenol (C 6 F 5 OH) in water using UV-C light and Fe(II) sulfate/Fe(III) oxalate with H 2 O 2 was examined to develop a technique to counteract persistent and bioaccumulative C 6 F 5 OH to harmless species. Photo-Fenton process led to efficient degradation of C 6 F 5 OH to fluoride ions and CO 2 .
