Quartz-enhanced multiheterodyne resonant photoacoustic spectroscopy

open access: yesLight: Science & Applications
The extension of dual-comb spectroscopy (DCS) to all wavelengths of light along with its ability to provide ultra-large dynamic range and ultra-high spectral resolution, renders it extremely useful for a diverse array of applications in physics ...

Improved Sensitivity in Large Field of View Multispectral Laser‐Scanning Photoacoustic Microscopy for Measuring Oxygen Saturation In Vivo

open access: yesJournal of Biophotonics, EarlyView.
Validation of large field of view multispectral laser‐scanning photoacoustic microscopy (LS‐MS‐PAM) for sO2 measurements. ABSTRACT Multispectral photoacoustic microscopy (PAM) using stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) has been employed to measure oxygen saturation (sO2) in biological tissue.

Fiber Bragg Grating in Biomedical Application

open access: yesمجلة النهرين للعلوم الهندسية, 2017
The aim of this work is to use Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) to detect the breast cancer at its earliest stages based on the Photoacoustic (PA) hybrid technique.

Acoustic loudness factor as an experimental parameter for benchmarking small molecule photoacoustic probes

open access: yesNature Communications
Photoacoustic imaging (PAI) is an emerging biomedical imaging modality with promise as a point-of-care diagnostic. This imaging modality relies on optical excitation of an absorber followed by production of ultrasound through the photoacoustic effect ...

A Comparative Study on Signal Decomposition Techniques for Stimulated Raman Photoacoustic Microscopy

open access: yesJournal of Biophotonics, EarlyView.
Comparison of sO2 maps generated using signal decomposition methods. ABSTRACT In this paper, we present a comparative study of signal decomposition techniques in multispectral photoacoustic microscopy (MS‐PAM) systems that are based on the use of stimulated Raman spectroscopy (SRS).

BCARS Simulated Phantom Dataset for Evaluation of Processing Pipelines

open access: yesJournal of Raman Spectroscopy, EarlyView.
A tissue phantom, containing fingerprint Raman spectra at each pixel, is developed to evaluate Raman signal processing pipelines. The phantom is created from a BCARS image of a murine hepatic tissue. ABSTRACT Broadband coherent anti‐Stokes Raman scattering (BCARS) microscopy is a powerful label‐free biological imaging technique, but the raw signal ...

Amplification of Light‐Ultrasound Interaction in a Pi‐Shifted Fiber Bragg Grating for Enhanced Ultrasonic Sensitivity

open access: yesLaser &Photonics Reviews, EarlyView.
By precisely engineering the geometry of a fiber‐based optical resonator, the interaction between confined light and external ultrasound waves is significantly amplified without sacrificing light confinement, boosting the ultrasound detection sensitivity beyond 0.5 mPa/√Hz.

Design of directional transmission channel models for breast photoacoustic signals based on defect state structure

open access: yesAIP Advances
In the photoacoustic detection of breast cancer, the weak intensity and severe energy attenuation of photoacoustic signals excited by the breast tissue become an important factor limiting the efficient acquisition of the ultrasound transducer.
