Differential photoacoustic microscopy technique

Optics Letters, 2013
Photoacoustic microscopy (PAM), whose image quality largely depends on the optical absorption of samples, provides endogenous information for structural and functional imaging. However, PAM technology in general can not provide edge enhancement imaging for absorbing objects.

Photoacoustic and related photothermal techniques

Physics Reports, 1988
Abstract We review the theory and applications of the photoacoustic and related methods belonging to the general area of photothermal measurement techniques. This essay is intended for researchers especially unfamiliar with the basic ideas and potentialities of this rapidly developing field.

Acoustically resonant pulsed photoacoustic technique for liquids

Applied Optics, 1985
The use of resonant piezoceramic transducers in the pulsed photoacoustic technique and the effect of the focusing of the probing beam have been investigated experimentally. The improved sensitivity for resonant detection and for more tightly focused probing beams has been verified.

Photoacoustic imaging using the Hadamard transform technique

Applied Optics, 1982
The principles of Hadamard transformation are applied to photoacoustic imaging. The advantages are twofold: reduction of the power density at the sample, and improvement of SNR due to multiplexing advantage. The compatibility of Hadamard with other multiplex transform techniques is discussed.

Photoacoustic imaging using a Fourier transform technique

Applied Optics, 1982
The principles of Fourier transformation are applied to photoacoustic imaging. Advantages are threefold: reduction of the power density at the sample; improvement of signal to noise ratio due to multiplexing advantage; and increase of spatial resolution by additional measurements with masks corresponding to higher overtones.

Glucose concentration measurement using photoacoustic technique

SPIE Proceedings, 2015
In this paper, a noninvasive photoacoustic measurement setup was established to simple simulate the glucose concentration measurement. The PPA signal excited by a pulsed tunable wavelength laser can be used to determine the glucose concentration in solution. By building the multiple linear regression (MLR) model for the peak valves of the PPA signal at

Photoacoustic spectroscopy technique in stress analysis

Measurement, 1984
Abstract The use of photoacoustic signal in stress analysis has been demonstrated. The results obtained were encouraging. Two main constraints which appear in using conventional photoelastic techniques, namely transparency and double-refracting effect, have been removed through the use of photoacoustic.

Applications of photoacoustic sensing techniques

Reviews of Modern Physics, 1986
This paper reviews the theory and applications of photoacoustic (also called optoacoustic) methods belonging to the more general area of photothermal measurement techniques. The theory covers excitation of gaseous or condensed samples with modulated continuous light beams or pulsed light beams.

Energy compensated synthetic aperture focusing technique for photoacoustic microscopy

Journal of Biophotonics, 2022
AbstractWe report an adaptive energy‐compensated synthetic aperture focusing technique (eC‐SAFT) for improving the imaging performance of photoacoustic microscopy (PAM) in terms of depth of field (DOF), spatial resolution (both axial and lateral), and SNR.
