Commentary on Photoacoustic Tomography [PDF]
Substantial funding, notably from the National Cancer Institute of the United States, over the past 10 y has greatly promoted noninvasive approaches to studying pathophysiology, tumor progression, and response to therapy as well as pharmacokinetics and biodistribution of potential therapeutics ...

This review surveys nanoparticle‐based strategies to enhance adoptive cell therapy, particularly CAR‐T cell approaches, in solid tumor treatment. It describes how nanoparticles can improve tumor immunogenicity and T‐cell infiltration while reducing toxicity, and how they enable in vivo CAR‐T cell generation.

We present here a novel application of photoacoustics to the monitoring and study of the physiological status of zooxanthellate corals. Until now, the method has only been applied in homogeneous phytoplankton cultures and field samples.

An Annular CMUT Array and Acquisition Strategy for Continuous Monitoring
In many monitoring scenarios, repeated and operator-independent assessments are needed. Wearable ultrasound technology has the potential to continuously provide the vital information traditionally obtained from conventional ultrasound scanners, such as ...

Numerical Study of Photoacoustic Pressure for Cancer Therapy
A commonly used therapy for cancer is based on the necrosis of cells induced by heating through the illumination of nanoparticles embedded in cells. Recently, the photoacoustic pressure shock induced by the illumination pulse was proved and this points ...

Photoacoustic flow cytometry [PDF]
Conventional flow cytometry using scattering and fluorescent detection methods has been a fundamental tool of biological discoveries for many years. Invasive extraction of cells from a living organism, however, may lead to changes in cell properties and prevents the long-term study of cells in their native environment.

Phase Optimized Photoacoustic Sensing of Gas Mixtures
In this paper, we report on the progress of the auto-triggered quartz-enhanced photoacoustic spectroscopy (QEPAS) technique which operates without external frequency generators and ensures permanent locking to the current resonance frequency of the ...
