Local control theory applied to molecular photoassociation
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2007Local control theory (LCT) is employed to achieve molecular photoassociation with shaped laser pulses. Within LCT, the control fields are constructed from the response of the system to the perturbation which makes them accessible to a straightforward interpretation. This is shown regarding the ground-state collision of H+F and H+I atoms.

Two-photon photoassociation spectroscopy of heteronuclear YbRb
Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics, 2011We report on the spectroscopic investigation of vibrational levels in the electronic ground state of the heteronuclear molecule (176)Yb(87)Rb. Using two-photon photoassociation spectroscopy in a laser-cooled mixture of (176)Yb and (87)Rb we are able to determine the binding energies of weakly-bound vibrational levels.

Molecular Photoassociation and Ultracold Molecules
2001During the last fifteen years, the laser manipulation of neutral atoms has experienced impressive development. The experimental techniques of laser cooling of atoms in the mK-µK range and below, as well as the trapping of neutral atomic samples, based on radiation pressure, are now well established. However their extension to molecules seems to be very
