Effects of Acute Photobiomodulation on Heart Rate Variability in Physically Active Individuals: A Randomized and Controlled Clinical Trial. [PDF]
This article is the first to approach the use of light acting on the vagus nerve in individuals undergoing physical exercise. Although we only obtained one isolated parameter as a difference in HRV, it is a first indication that we may be able to intervene in this vagal control process over the heart with PBM.

Therapeutic Potential of Photobiomodulation in Early Recovery After Experimental Spinal Cord Injury in Rats: Histological and Biomechanical Analysis. [PDF]
Spinal cord injuries (SCI) cause severe motor and sensory deficits, with limited treatment options. This study demonstrates that early application of photobiomodulation (PBM) can protect spinal cord tissue and accelerate functional recovery in a preclinical model, which integrates biomechanical analysis with histomorphological characteristics of the ...

This study developed a bioprinted co‐culture system embedding rat pancreatic islets and Scenedesmus sp. microalgae spatially defined in close vicinity. Red light was found optimal to ensure microalgal photosynthesis while maintaining islet viability and functionality. A tailored co‐culture medium supported both cell types.

LED Photobiomodulation for Pain Reduction in Temporomandibular Disorder: A Randomized, Controlled, and Blinded Clinical Trial [PDF]
This randomized, controlled, and blinded trial demonstrated that photobiomodulation (PBM) with 850 nm (infrared) and 660 nm (red) LED clusters effectively reduced pain in patients with temporomandibular dysfunction (TMD). ABSTRACT This clinical, randomized, controlled, and blinded trial evaluated photobiomodulation (PBM) using 850 nm (infrared) and 660
