NIR‐Activated Ag2S Quantum Dots for Efficient Broad‐Spectrum Antibacterial and Biofilm Disruption
This study presents a novel non‐antibiotic strategy leveraging NIR‐activated Ag2S QDs for synergistic PTT/PDT. The platform degrades the protective extracellular matrix via localized hyperthermia, facilitating deep penetration and ROS‐induced oxidative damage.

Photocatalytic Degradation Of Phenolic Compounds
A great challenge for this century lies in cleaning-up the wastewater generated during industrial, domestic and agricultural activities before being released, into the aquatic environment, or reused for another purpose e.g. irrigation. Phenolic compounds among the various organic contaminates found in wastewater require special attention because of ...

From Copper Nanoparticles to Alumina Encapsulated Porous Layers With Enhanced Mechanical Stability
This study analyzes the synthesis‐structure relation of individual Cu nanoparticles and highly porous nanoparticle‐based Cu films using different sputtering‐based nanoparticle sources. The inherent mechanical instability of the films is tackled with Al2O3 encapsulation through atomic layer deposition, enabling 4‐fold increase in critical force in ...

Room Temperature Synthesis and Photopatterning of Mesoporous Titanium Dioxide Thin Films
A nanofabrication strategy combining deep‐UV photolithography with block copolymer self‐assembly enables direct patterning and mineralization of mesoporous TiO2 thin films at room temperature. Photocatalytic titanium oxo‐clusters promote polymer degradation under UV irradiation, enabling multiscale control over porosity, film thickness, and lateral ...
