Allosteric Regulation of Photophysics and Binding in Oxazine‐macrocycle Complexes at Single‐molecule Resolution

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
This work explores the interactions between the oxazine dye ATTO655 and two macrocyclic hosts using optical (single‑molecule) spectroscopy. Although ATTO655 forms a classical inclusion complex with cucurbit[8]uril (CB8), its interaction with p‑sulfonatocalix[4]arene (sCX4) leads to the formation of dim exclusion complexes.

Gas exchange and chlorophyll fluorescence research on different position leaves of rice plant

open access: yes浙江大学学报. 农业与生命科学版, 2007
Responses of gas exchange and chlorophyll fluorescence parameters to photosynthetic photon densities (PFD), and alternations in contents of photosynthetic pigments, nitrogen and phosphorus were investigated in different position leaves at the heading day

Non Photochemical Quenching mechanism in higher plants and in the unicellular alga Chlamydomonas reinhardtii

open access: yes, 2010
Light is a necessary ecological factor for oxygenic photoautotrophic organisms. Plants and algae require light for life but it can sometimes become a limiting factor or even cause stress events.

Spatiotemporal Control of Formation of Dynamic Protein Fiber Assemblies via Photophysical Effects of a Focused Laser Beam

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Tightly focused laser irradiation can accumulate tubulin proteins at/around the laser focus, which leads to the formation of highly ordered microtubule assemblies. The assemblies can exhibit various dynamic behaviors such as radial motion, bundling, and flagella‐like rotation with motor protein and chemical energy, highlighting as a unique tool for ...

Incorporation of Organic Counter‐Cations Into Poly(Heptazine Imide) Networks for Promoting Proton‐Coupled Electron Transfer During Photocatalytic H2O2 Evolution

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
Incorporation of N‐based onium ions into the ionic framework of poly(heptazine imide) was obtained via protonation‐deprotonation of PHI frameworks arising from a parent Na‐containing analogue. Particularly, methylammonium moieties, through their small molecular size, hydrogen bonding capabilities and rotational mobility, appear to stabilize ...

Fluorescence Tuning of Carbon Dots from Red to Blue via UV‐Induced Photochemical Etching

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A UV‐driven photochemical process enables continuous color evolution of carbon dots from red to blue using a single irradiation parameter. Progressive photoetching restructures graphitic domains and surface states, allowing full visible‐spectrum emission control.

Chlorophyll Fluorescence, Photoinhibition and Abiotic Stress: Does it Make Any Difference the Fact to Be a C3 or C4 Species?

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2019
Chlorophyll fluorescence analysis is one of the most powerful and widely used techniques to study the effect of stresses on the photosynthetic process.

Diversity in xanthophyll cycle pigments content and related non-photochemical quenching (NPQ) among microalgae: implications for growth strategy and ecology

open access: yes, 2019
International audienceXanthophyll cycle‐related non‐photochemical quenching, which is present in most photoautotrophs, allows dissipating excess light energy. Xanthophyll cycle‐related NPQ depends principally on xanthophyll cycle pigments composition and

In Situ Confinement of 0D Halometallates Within Deep Eutectic Solvents: From Systematic Screening to Metal‐Tunable Luminescence for Anti‐Counterfeiting Eutectogels

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We report photostable, photoluminescent deep eutectic solvents (DESs) powered by in situ‐formed zero‐dimensional (0D) halometallates. Stabilized by microenvironment‐controlling hydrogen bond acceptor (HBA) and donor (HBD) networks, these DESs exhibit vibrant, metal ion‐tunable emission (PLQY = 60.2%).
