High-Performance Broadband Photoelectrochemical Photodetectors Based on Ultrathin Bi2O2S Nanosheets.
ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces, 2022Two-dimensional (2D) bismuth oxychalcogenide (Bi2O2X, X refers to S, Se, and Te) is one type of rising semiconductor with excellent electrical transport properties, high photoresponse, and good air stability. However, the research on 2D Bi2O2S is limited.

Review of gallium-oxide-based solar-blind ultraviolet photodetectors
Photonics Research, 2019Solar-blind photodetectors are of great interest to a wide range of industrial, civil, environmental, and biological applications. As one of the emerging ultrawide-bandgap semiconductors, gallium oxide (Ga2O3) exhibits unique advantages over other wide ...

Abstract The chapter covers photodetectors for photons in the optical and near UV range (about 200 nm to 700 nm). Important for particle and astroparticle experiments are photodetectors which detect light generated in scintillation or Cherenkov detectors, for example.

Proceedings of the IEEE, 1966
This paper is intended as a status report on high-speed detectors for the visible and near-infrared portion of the optical spectrum. Both vacuum and solid-state detectors are discussed, with the emphasis on those devices which can be used as direct (noncoherent) detectors of weak optical signals modulated at microwave frequencies.

Photodetectors and photodetector arrays for optical processing
SPIE Proceedings, 1992Photodetector arrays and architectures for optical processing, including acousto-optical (AO) signal processing applications such as spectrum analysis, for which the demands on photodetector arrays are substantially greater than for typical image sensing applications, are discussed.
