The photodissociation of SiO

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1997
The photodissociation of the SiO molecule, which is of considerable astrophysical interest, is studied within the framework of the Floquet theory. Only the one-photon transition process between the two lowest EΣ+1 states is considered. The computation of the electronic energy surfaces is performed with the MOLPRO code.

Photodissociation of NO+(NO) and NO+(H2O)

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1977
A drift tube mass spectrometer coupled with ion laser and ion laser pumped tunable dye laser photon sources has been used to measure the thermal energy (300 K) photodissociation cross sections for two positive ion clusters, NO+(NO) and NO+(H2O). Measurements were made spanning a photon wavelength range from 799 to 350 nm. The absolute photodissociation

Photodissociation of Methane

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1969
A valence-bond calculation is carried out on the ground and six excited energy levels of methane. The molecule is deformed in a C2v fashion so as to produce incipiently CH2 and H2, and in a C3v fashion to obtain CH3 and H. Potential surfaces are obtained which permit one with classical mechanics to determine the shape of the molecule during its ...

Photodissociation of thiophosgene

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1977
The photolysis of thiophosgene produces CS(A 1π) below the incident wavelength (1270 Å) from which ΔHf °0(SCCl2) ?7.92±1 kcal mol−1 (33.1±4 kJ mol−1) is derived. The quantum yield for the production of Cl atoms has been determined from the amounts of HCl produced from the photolysis of thiophosgene–heptane mixtures.

Photodissociation of Triarylmethanes

1984
Recently there have appeared several reports of picosecond absorption studies for the photodissociation of triarylmethanes(1,2,3). This class of molecules is of interest as photoexcitation leads to the formation of ion pairs, the kinetics of which are highly solvent dependent.
