In-plane photoelectric effect in phosphorene nanoribbons
Recently, a new photoelectric phenomenon dubbed in-plane photoelectric (IPPE) effect has been demonstrated experimentally. In this work, we investigate the IPPE effect in a zigzag-edged or armchair-edged phosphorene nanoribbons (ZPNRs or APNRs) that is ...

A low‐cost hydrothermal technique is employed to optimize the synthesis of Mg‐doped α‐Ga2O3 nanorod arrays. Compared to undoped α‐Ga2O3 photodetectors, the photocurrent response is increased by 435%, with a peak responsivity of 34.54 mA W−1. Furthermore, a 5 × 5 PEC‐SBPD array based on Mg‐doped α‐Ga2O3 nanorod arrays is constructed for underwater ...

The incrementally enhanced photocatalytic reactivity is attributed to persistent in situ spontaneous growing of atomically dispersed Cd/Te SAs. Consequently, it mutually elevates the electronic density around Cd/Te SAs and strengthens interactions and binding capacity between occupied d orbitals at Cd/Te SAs and empty p orbits in TS.
