Photoelectron spectroscopy

1998
This chapter discusses photoionization, which is a process carried out in a gas phase that gives a large amount of energy to a molecule to make it ionize. It refers to the photoelectric effect in which radiation of a variable frequency is shone on the surface of an easily ionizable metal, such as an alkali.
