Atomic Size Misfit for Electrocatalytic Small Molecule Activation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review explores the application and mechanisms of atomic size misfit in catalysis for small molecule activation, focusing on how structural defects and electronic properties can effectively lower the energy barriers of chemical bonds in molecules like H2O, CO2, and N2.

Coherent Two-Dimensional Multiphoton Photoelectron Spectroscopy of Metal Surfaces

open access: yesPhysical Review X, 2019
Light interacting with high-electron-density materials elicits an ultrafast coherent many-body screening response on sub- to few-femtosecond timescales, which makes its experimental observation challenging. Here, we describe the coherent two-dimensional (

Plasma treatment to improve the adhesion between ABS and PA6 in hybrid structures produced by injection overmolding

open access: yesPolymer Testing, 2022
In this article, we investigate the possibility of combining ABS and PA6 in one structure by means of injection overmolding. The combination of these polymers in one structure is very promising, as PA6 offers good mechanical performance and high melting ...

Electronic signature of the vacancy ordering in NbO (Nb3O3)

open access: yes, 2017
We investigated the electronic structure of the vacancy-ordered 4d-transition metal monoxide NbO (Nb3O3) using angle-integrated soft- and hard-x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy as well as ultra-violet angle-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy.

Surface and electronic structure of MOCVD-grown Ga(0.92)In(0.08)N investigated by UV and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
The surface and electronic structure of MOCVD-grown layers of Ga(0.92)In(0.08)N have been investigated by means of photoemission. An additional feature at the valence band edge, which can be ascribed to the presence of In in the layer, has been revealed.

MnI‐Functionalized Covalent Organic Framework as Efficient Electrocatalyst for CO2 Reduction in a Catholyte‐Free Zero‐Gap Electrolyzer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work demonstrates the successful integration of a phenanthroline‐based 2D COF with MnI catalytic sites into a catholyte‐free membrane‐electrode‐assembly cell for CO2 electroreduction. The crystalline COF actively suppresses Mn⁰–Mn⁰ dimerization, achieving a turnover frequency of 617 h⁻¹ at 2.8 V (full‐cell potential), and enabling stable operation.
