Holographic photography of high velocity particles [PDF]

open access: yes, 1970
Fourier transform hologram camera increases the velocity range for holography by a factor of 10 to 1000. Two different optical systems, using a triangular arrangement of beam splitters and a mirror to illuminate the object from two directions, are ...

Is Young's Modulus a Critical Coating Property Determining Fouling‐Release Performance of Marine Coatings?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
The release of foulers from protective marine coatings is determined by several interrelated material properties, including the strength of Young's modulus, the flexibility of chain segments, the surface free energy, and the magnitude of hydrodynamic stress.

Efficient and Scalable Radiative Cooling for Photovoltaics Using Solution‐Processable and Solar‐Transparent Mesoporous Nanoparticles

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Graded refractive index (GRI) structures are prepared from the layer‐by‐layer spray coating of the mesoporous SiO2 nanoparticles, showing high solar transparency and thermal emissivity. Under outdoor conditions, after 50 days, the GRI‐coated photovoltaics show on average 6.65 ± 1.48 °C lower than that of the non‐coated references, maintaining 80.9 ± 8 ...

Stabilized Intermediate Phase Via Pseudo‐Halide Anions Toward Highly Efficient and Light‐Soaking Stable Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 12, March 18, 2025.
The formate pseudo‐halide anion is strategically introduced at the buried interface to stabilize the intermediate phases formed during perovskite crystallization. The controlled crystallization enhances crystallinity and alleviates tensile strain, eliminating residual PbI2 near the buried interface.

Photography without Pictures

open access: yesArts
Magic, as an emanation of past presence in a picture, emerges as a theme in postmodern theories of photography. It is linked to various forms of actual and symbolic absence; an absence which creates a space that keeps us looking, ostensibly for something
