Photoionization of Rydberg atoms in optical lattices
We develop a formalism for photoionization (PI) and potential energy curves (PECs) of Rydberg atoms in ponderomotive optical lattices and apply it to examples covering several regimes of the optical-lattice depth.

ABSTRACT Rationale Poly (acrylates)s can be distinguished from one another by the nature of their side chains. From model poly (acrylates)s, the purpose of this work was to evaluate the contribution of alternative activation techniques to the collisional activation, based on ion–ion and ion–photon interactions.

Structurally Constrained Stibenium: Metallomimetic C−Si Bond Activation
A structurally constrained stibenium cation supported by a 2,6‐bis(o‐carborano)pyridine pincer‐type ligand was prepared, and its preliminary reactivity toward silanes was investigated. Remarkably, Si−C bonds in silanes undergo activation via an oxidative‐addition‐type process at the cationic Sb center.

Rationale Surface‐assisted laser desorption/ionization (SALDI) mass spectrometry (MS) builds on the use of nanostructured surfaces (e.g., coatings of colloidal nanoparticles) to promote analyte desorption and ionization. The SALDI process is believed to occur mainly through thermal processes, resulting from heating of the nanosubstrate upon absorption ...

Quantum State‐Resolved Photodissociation Dynamics Study of Transition‐Metal Carbonyl and Nitrosyl
State‐resolved scattering measurements provide experimental visualization of nuclear motions in reacting molecules. Carbonyls and nitrosyls are typical ligands in most of the transition‐metal complexes, which undergo dissociation upon visible and ultraviolet photoexcitation.

ABSTRACT As one of the important links in energy transition and global energy interconnection, electric vehicles (EVs) are becoming increasingly major research topics in the field of energy. Partial discharge (PD) identification under repetitive impulsive voltages plays a pivotal role in evaluating the health of electric vehicle (EV) motor insulation ...

ABSTRACT Oil–pressboard system is the main insulation form of oil‐immersed transformers, which is prone to partial discharge (PD) and subsequent faults due to contamination or moisture ingress. To investigate the evolutionary characteristics of PD streamers under varying voltages and insulation dimensions, streamer images were captured using a high ...

X‐ray fluorescence microscopy exposure estimates using a single excitation energy
We present calculations on the number of illuminating photons per pixel required for elemental detection using X‐ray fluorescence, even with far‐from‐threshold excitation.Scanning fluorescence X‐ray microscopy is widely used for quantitative mapping of elemental concentrations, including in studies of essential but low‐concentration metals in cells ...
