Systematic photoluminescence measurements of the p- and n- type GaSe have been carried out in the temperature range between b.2 and 300 K. The main results, reported here, are: 1) direct free exciton emission centered at 2.109 eV; 2) a structured emission localized between 2.103 and 2.060 eV and attributed to excitons bound to neutral acceptors; 3 ...

On photoluminescence in HgGa2S4
Journal of Luminescence, 2005Abstract In this paper, we investigate the kinetics of photoluminescence in excited crystals of HgGa2S4 which have recently been proposed for implementing tunable luminescent devices. From photoluminescence experiments, performed at various temperatures and excitation powers, it appears that two kinds of radiative recombination processes take place ...

Photoluminescence and photoluminescence excitation study of CuGaTe2
Journal of Applied Physics, 1998Photoluminescence (PL) and photoluminescence excitation measurements over a temperature range 12 K<T<300 K on high quality CuGaTe2 crystals grown by the vertical Bridgman method were completed. The whole PL spectrum consists of two regions.

Photoluminescence of GaSe is measured between 4.2 and about 40 K. The spectra of many samples are classified into three types. The first type has only one broad peak at about 2.04 eV, and the second type has two sharp lines at 2.096 and 2.088 eV followed by some lines at the lower energy side.

Photoluminescence and photoluminescence excitation spectroscopy of Al0.48In0.52As
Journal of Applied Physics, 1993A detailed study of the photoluminescence (PL) and photoluminescence excitation (PLE) properties of Al0.48In0.52As is presented. A PL linewidth of 13 meV and a Stokes shift of only 9 meV at 4.2 K both indicate that the effect of clustering is minimal in our samples. The Stokes shift is three times lower than the lowest reported in the literature.

Photoluminescence of Eu2+ in SrGa2S4
Journal of Luminescence, 2005Abstract A photoluminescence (PL) study of the green-emitting SrGa2S4:Eu2+ phosphor is reported. Diffuse reflectance, excitation, and emission spectra were examined with the aim to enlarge the fundamental knowledge about the emission of the Eu2+ ion in this lattice. The thermal dependence of the radiative properties was investigated.
