PHOTOMETRIC AND IMAGING PERFORMANCE
EAS Publications Series, 2002Three topics within GAIA photometry have been selected for discussion here. (1) The sampling scheme of the CCDs has been tuned to serve the various purposes: detection of stars, astrometry, broad- and medium-band photometry, and imaging of a small area around each detected star, but the tuning may not yet be optimal.

Photometric titrations—IIDesign and construction of a photometric titrator
Talanta, 1961Abstract The construction of a simple photometric titrator is described. The light receptor is a photo-diode whose design makes it easily possible to exclude external light. Consequently, titrations can be performed with the titration vessel in the open.

This paper describes a photometric stereo method that works with a wide range of surface reflectances. Unlike previous approaches that assume simple parametric models such as Lambertian reflectance, the only assumption that we make is that the reflectance has three properties; monotonicity, visibility, and isotropy with respect to the cosine of light ...

ABSTRACT This paper describes how information about the configuration of the cornea can be derived from the raw data obtained with telecentric photokeratometers, and how such data can be expressed and used. It also deals with the interrelations of the different ways of expressing the data.

An active vision technique for determining the absolute depth of surfaces is described. The algorithm assumes a very general model for the reflectance properties of the surface, and is valid for most of the shading models commonly used in computer vision work.
