Photometrics in astronomy

Journal of the Franklin Institute, 1954
Abstract The recent growth of astrophysics emphasizes the differences that exist between the photometric nomenclature of physics and that of astronomy. Astronomers employ such concepts as “brightness,” “luminosity,” and “magnitude”; but these same words are used with entirely different meanings by astronomers and by physicists.

Photometric Quantitation of Haemagglutination

Scandinavian Journal of Haematology, 1967
A modified technique for photometric quantitation of haemagglutination was employed in experiments with anti‐A test sera and Arcell suspensions. The agglutinates and the free cells were separated by simple sedimentation. As an absolute separation was impossible in this way, no exact estimation of percentage agglutination could be made.

ANALYSIS OF PHOTOMETRIC DATA

Optometry and Vision Science, 1975
This paper describes how information about the configuration of the cornea can be derived from the raw data obtained with telecentric photokeratometers, and how such data can be expressed and used. It also deals with the interrelations of the different ways of expressing the data.
