Optical photometry with the Kuiper Airborne Observatory

Publications of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific, 1983
The properties of optical photometric data obtainable with the 0.9-meter telescope of the Kuiper Airborne Observatory are described. The major differences between airborne and ground-based data are the absence of scintillation and the increased cosmic-ray background in the airborne data and the large size and vibration of the airborne images.

Mid-ultraviolet and optical photometry of helium stars

Journal of Astrophysics and Astronomy, 1992
Mid-ultraviolet and optical photometric analysis of helium stars are presented. A linear relation exists between the effective temperature derived from model atmospheres and (1965-V)0 index. The effective temperatures derived from (1965-V)0 index are somewhat higher than that of MK spectral type estimates especially for late B-type helium objects.

Photometry, Radiometry, and Measurements of Optical Losses

2019
Preface: The revised 2nd edition of this practical book provides an expanded treatment and comparison of techniques used in advanced optical measurements, guiding its reader from fundamental radiometric and photometric concepts to the state-of-the-art in highly sensitive measurements of optical losses and in spectroscopic detection using coherent laser

Multi-band optical photometry of geosynchronous satellites

Sensors and Systems for Space Applications XI, 2018
We present the results of multi band optical photometry (B, V, R and I) for 66% of the sample of geosynchronous satellites observable from Flagstaff, AZ. Observations were done while the targets were at solar phase angle smaller than ±5°, to probe the period when they are expected to reach maximum brightness.
