The DEuterated SCintillator Array for Neutron Tagging

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2014
A neutron tagging array based upon liquid deuterated scintillators is being developed for the study of neutron-rich systems. The DEuterated SCintillator Array for Neutron Tagging, or DESCANT, will serve as an auxiliary detector for both the TIGRESS and ...

Wavelength‐Dependent Photobiomodulation Regulates Macrophage Polarization via Mitochondrial Dynamics and Metabolic Reprogramming

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Light wavelength encodes distinct macrophage fates through mitochondrial and metabolic remodeling. Red 625 nm irradiation induces glycolysis, mitochondrial fission, and M1 polarization, whereas near‐infrared 850 nm irradiation promotes fatty acid oxidation, mitochondrial fusion, and M2 polarization.

Calibration of a photomultiplier array spectrometer

open access: yes, 1989
A systematic approach to the calibration of a photomultiplier array spectrometer is presented. Through this approach, incident light radiance derivation is made by recognizing and tracing gain characteristics for each photomultiplier ...

Unusual Thermally Induced Blueshift and Emission Amplification of Mn2+ Ions Enable Filter‐Free Luminescent Thermal Imaging

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT The shift from point‐based thermal sensing to filter‐free thermal imaging requires luminescent thermometers that exhibit pronounced and thermally driven spectral changes within spectral regions matching the sensitivity profiles of the red, green and blue (RGB) channels of a digital camera.

Results of Gamma Photon and Neutron Irradiations of Hamamatsu R5600-03/NG

open access: yes, 2008
Gamma photon and neutron irradiation tests were carried out to study the applicability of R5600-03/NG miniature photomultiplier tubes (PMTs) from Hamamatsu in the forward calorimeters (HF) of the hadron calorimeter (HCAL) of the Compact Muon Solenoid ...

Real‐Time Stress Visualization of Hydrogels Enabled by Supramolecularly Switched Stretch‐Induced Phase Separation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Supramolecular hydrogels enable real‐time visualization of mechanical stress through supramolecular switching mechanotransduction. Adamantane‐modified cellulose functions as a responsive domain that undergoes an on–off transition between hydrated and dehydrated states via reversible β‐cyclodextrin–adamantane complexation and decomplexation.

Low temperature PMT performance test for liquid argon detector

open access: yes四川大学学报. 自然科学版, 2019
China dark matter experiment (CDEX) intends to use liquid argon detector as an anti-coincidence detector for high-purity germanium detectors. The photomultiplier tube used in the liquid argon detector needs to be able to work stably for a long time under
