Performance of photomultiplier tubes and sodium iodide scintillation detector systems

open access: yes, 1981
The performance of photomultiplier tubes (PMT's) and scintillation detector systems incorporating 50.8 by 1.27 cm NaI (T l) crystals was investigated to determine the characteristics of the photomultiplier tubes and optimize the detector geometry for the

Silver‐Alloyed Wide‐Bandgap (Ag,Cu)(In,Ga)S2 Thin‐Film Solar Cells With 15.5% Efficiency

open access: yesProgress in Photovoltaics: Research and Applications, Volume 34, Issue 7, Page 942-956, July 2026.
This study reports improvements in compositional homogeneity, microstructure, enhanced radiative recombination, and extended carrier lifetime of CIGS absorber via Ag incorporation. The optimal Ag‐alloyed CIGS solar cells achieve 15.5% PCE and 948 mV VOC, competing with the VOC of the Ag‐free reference sample from the same batch.

Sperm Sexing in Selected Animals and Humans: Methods, Applications, and Future Prospects

open access: yesAndrology, Volume 14, Issue 5, Page 1089-1101, July 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Sperm sexing is a technique that enables the selection of offspring sex by sorting spermatozoa based on their sex chromosomes. This technology has gained increasing attention due to its potential applications in both animal breeding and human‐assisted reproduction.

The vesicle trafficking R‐SNARE VAMP714 connects auxin responses, ROS and ion homeostasis in Arabidopsis under salt stress

open access: yesNew Phytologist, Volume 251, Issue 1, Page 207-227, July 2026.
Network of VAMP714‐dependent interactions during salt stress. Summary Plant responses to salt stress include an altered root architecture mediated by ion imbalances, reactive oxygen species (ROS) accumulation, and altered hormonal responses. Auxin is implicated in these processes.
