Double Helical Plasmonic Antennas

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Plasmonic double helical antennas funnel circularly polarized light to the nanoscale, offering strong chiroptical interaction and directional light emission. Extending a single helix design tool, this study combines numerical modeling with experimental validation, revealing large, broadband dissymmetry factors in the visible range.

Multiscale Thermal Analysis of Gold Nanostars in 3D Tumor Spheroids: Integrating Cellular‐Level Photothermal Effects and Nanothermometry via X‐Ray Spectroscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This study investigates nanoscale temperatures generated by photoexcited gold nanostars and their correlation with microscale thermal damage at the cellular level. Using X‐ray absorption spectroscopy and confocal microscopy in 3D cancer spheroids, it assesses localized heating effects and examines tumor cell structure and integrity, offering insights ...

Inorganic Nanomaterials Meet the Immune System: An Intricate Balance

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Metal nanomaterials influence the immune responses, such as cytokine production and T‐cell activity. Unintended immune modulation can have significant consequences while its fine‐tuning may transform the oncology care. Within this review, a critical analysis is offered regarding the nano/immune‐interaction and suggests the future research directions to

Nano‐Topography Enhanced Topological‐Cell‐Analysis in Radiation‐Therapy

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Radiotherapy, a treatment that implies exposition of cells to radiation, offers promise to treat cancer. Here, it is hypothesized that the nanoscale details of a scaffold can amplify the response of cells to radiation, measured through topological variables, providing ways to assess the efficacy of Radiotherapy treatment.

Rapid Surface Reconstruction of In2S3 Photoanode via Flame Treatment for Enhanced Photoelectrochemical Performance

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
A rapid surface reconstruction strategy is proposed to enhance the charge collection efficiency and stability of indium sulfide (In2S3) photoanode via a high‐temperature flame treatment. This method selectively transforms the In2S3 surface into a diffusionless In2O3 and generates bulk sulfur vacancies, resulting in surface‐reconstructed In2S3 (sr‐In2S3)

Synthetic Control of Water‐Stable Hybrid Perovskitoid Semiconductors

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Hybrid metal‐halide perovskites are promising semiconductors for optoelectronics, yet their water stability is problematic. A new synthesis method is developed using lead iodide and cysteamine under various pH conditions, forming stable perovskitoid structures.

Photon-photon to atom-photon entanglement transfer

Conference on Lasers and Electro-Optics, 2017
Implementation of a quantum network with single atoms as quantum nodes and single photons as channels between the nodes requires their interfacing in receiver mode, whereby the photonic qubit is mapped onto the internal degrees of freedom of the atom [1].

Photon photon interactions

Nuclear Physics B - Proceedings Supplements, 1988
Recent results in γγ physics are presented. They include a number of new measurements of the γγ widths of members of the JPC = 0−+ and 2++ SU(3) nonets, a search for 0-+ radial excitations, studies of low mass ππ production and new results in the measurements of exclusive βc and inclusive D∗± production.

The scattering of photons by photons

Il Nuovo Cimento, 1965
The general expressions for the five independent amplitudes of photon-photon scattering are given in a rather compact form. It has been shown in detail, in a previous paper (1), that this result is easily obtained for all the values of the energy and of the angle with the aid of the dispersion relations techniques.

The Photon-Photon System

1976
Experiments for the observations of processes involving photon-photon collisions are extremely difficult to perform, because they are crossed-beam experiments which require the highest intensities and the most sensitive detection equipment. For this reason the photon-photon cross sections are at the present time still of little interest to the ...
