Experimental Investigation of Anisotropic Diffusion Applied in Ghost Imaging Reconstruction
In iterative pseudo-inverse ghost imaging (IPGI), how much the noise interference item of the current iteration approximates the real noise greatly depends on the clarity of initial image.

Is Heralded Two-Photon Excited Fluorescence with Single Absorbers Possible with Current Technology?
The interaction between single or a fixed number of photons with a single absorber is of fundamental interest in quantum technology. The harnessing of light matter interactions at the single particle limit has several potential applications ranging from ...

Noise-induced dynamics and photon statistics in bimodal quantum-dot micropillar lasers
Emission characteristics of quantum-dot micropillar lasers (QDMLs) are located at the intersection of nanophotonics and nonlinear dynamics, which provides an ideal platform for studying the optical interface between classical and quantum systems. In this

A quantum random number generator implementation with polarized photons
In this letter, we present an implementation of a random number generator based on photon polarization superposition. We prepare photons in a superposition state of vertical and horizontal polarizations, let them pass through a polarizing beamsplitter ...

Dynamic signatures of mode competition in optically injected high-β lasers
In this paper we theoretically investigate the statistical light-emission properties of an optically injected bimodal quantum-dot micropillar laser with high spontaneous emission rates.

Photon statistics of intense entangled photon pulses [PDF]
Time- and frequency-gated two-photon counting is given by a four-time correlation function of the electric field. This reduces to two times with purely time gating. We calculate this function for entangled photon pulses generated by parametric down-conversion.

Photon statistics in the three-photon hyper-Raman process [PDF]
An exact solution of the master equation for the three-photon hyper-Raman process is obtained by a matrix method. Several cases of the photon statistics are considered and the appearance of photon-antibunching effect and the violation of the classical Cauchy inequality are discussed. © 1985 The American Physical Society.

Photon statistics characterization of a single-photon source
n a recent experiment, we reported the time-domain intensity noise measurement of a single photon source relying on single molecule fluorescence control. In this article we present data processing, starting from photocount timestamps. The theoretical analytical expression of the time-dependent Mandel parameter Q(T) of an intermittent single photon ...
