Aero-optical effects caused by hypersonic turbulence will affect the accuracy of optical sensors on aircraft. Traditional analysis methods, which do not consider absorption and scattering effects, cannot easily be used to completely describe the ...

Novel ferrocene derivatives (e.g., FcPhc2) are used as an ultrathin layer hole‐blocking layer, reducing hole injection from the Ag contact. This results in an ultralow noise spectral density of 1.2 × 10−14 A Hz−1/2, and a high specific detectivity of 8.1 × 1012 Jones at −0.5 V.

Experimental Investigation of Iterative Pseudoinverse Ghost Imaging
An iterative pseudoinverse ghost imaging (IPGI) method is proposed based on iterative denoising and pseudoinverse ghost imaging (PGI). The background noise in the imaging is eliminated in iterations by setting an appropriate threshold.

Experimental observation of nonclassical effects on single-photon detection rates [PDF]
It is often asserted that quantum effects can be observed in coincidence detection rates or other correlations, but never in the rate of single-photon detection. We observe nonclassical interference in a singles rate, thanks to the intrinsic nonlinearity

Joint Photon Statistics of Photon-Subtracted Squeezed Light
We present the joint photon-number statistics of a locally photon-subtracted two-mode vacuum squeezed state of light. Comparison to the unsubtracted statistics shows a successful photon subtraction and the expected shift by one photon number.

Quantum Emitters in Hexagonal Boron Nitride: Principles, Engineering and Applications
Quantum emitters in hexagonal boron nitride have emerged as a promising candidate for quantum information science. This review examines the fundamentals of these quantum emitters, including their level structures, defect engineering, and their possible chemical structures.

Loss-resistant verification of quantum non-Gaussian photon statistics
Quantum non-Gaussian states of light have fundamental properties that are essential for a multitude of applications in quantum technology. However, many of these features are difficult to detect using standard criteria due to optical losses and detector ...

Photon bunching in parametric down-conversion with continuous wave excitation
The first direct measurement of photon bunching (g2 correlation function) in one output arm of a spontaneous-parametric-down-conversion source operated with a continuous pump laser in the single-photon regime is demonstrated.

Quantum Correlations from the Conditional Statistics of Incomplete Data [PDF]
We study, in theory and experiment, the quantum properties of correlated light fields measured with click-counting detectors providing incomplete information on the photon statistics.
