Slab-Thickness Dependence of Photonic Bandgap in Photonic-Crystal Slabs
IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Quantum Electronics, 2012The slab-thickness dependence of the photonic bandgap in air-bridge photonic-crystal slabs was theoretically investigated by the 3-D plane-wave expansion method. The photonic bandgap was found to achieve a maximum for a certain slab thickness depending on air-hole volume filling factor.

Physica B: Condensed Matter, 2003
The dispersion relation, density of states, and wave functions of the electromagnetic guided modes of a free standing photonic crystal slab are computed. The solution of Maxwell's equations are obtained from a self-consistent matrix eigenvalue problem solved by a fast computer routine.

Theory for Twisted Bilayer Photonic Crystal Slabs
Physical Review Letters, 2021We analyze scattering properties of twisted bilayer photonic crystal slabs through a high-dimensional plane wave expansion method, which does not involve super-cell approximation, and explain the spectrum with an intuitive correspondence relation.
