Indium Phosphide Photonic Integrated Circuits
Optical Fiber Communication Conference (OFC) 2020, 2020Photonic integration is essential for high-performance communications and now becomes directly exploitable in sensing, metrology and imaging. InP PICs provide lasers, amplifiers, modulators and detectors in one platform, and a roadmap for higher density integration.

InP Photonic Integrated Circuits
IEEE Journal of Selected Topics in Quantum Electronics, 2010InP is an ideal integration platform for optical generation, switching, and detection components operating in the range of 1.3-1.6 m wavelength, which is preferred for data transmission in the most prevalent silica-based optical fiber. We review the current state of the art in advanced InP photonic ICs.

Heterogeneous photonic integrated circuits
IEEE Photonics Conference 2012, 2012Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) have been dichotomized into circuits with high passive content (silica and silicon PLCs) and high active content (InP tunable lasers and transceivers) due to the trade-off in material characteristics used within these two classes. This has led to restrictions in the adoption of PICs to systems in which only one of

Photonic Integrated Circuits for microwave photonics
2010 IEEE International Topical Meeting on Microwave Photonics, 2010InP-based Photonic Integrated Circuits (PICs) have found applications in the telecommunication and sensing arena because they have offered improvements in cost and function as well as size, weight and power. For microwave photonics applications, it has been found that some analog functions such as optical-phase locked loops (OPLLs) can be greatly ...
