Latent-imaging photopolymer systems

Applied Optics, 1978
A new high-resolution latent-imaging photopolymer system is reported for recording thick refractive-index patterns such as volume phase holograms and grating devices. A photosensitive polymerization initiator is chemisorbed on the surfaces of a porous glass matrix (average pore diameter 4 nm).

Holographic grating formation in photopolymers

Optics Letters, 1996
We introduce a model describing real-time grating formation in holographic photopolymers, under the assumption that the diffusion of free monomers is much faster than the grating formation. This model, which combines polymerization kinetics with results from coupled-wave theory, indicates that the grating formation time depends sublinearly on the ...

Self-written waveguides in photopolymer

Applied Optics, 2018
Self-written waveguide (SWW) trajectories fabricated inside a dry photopolymer bulk material, acrylamide/polyvinyl alcohol (AA/PVA), are studied. Their production using both Gaussian and Laguerre-Gauss exposing (writing) light beams, output from optical fibers, is explored. The formation of the primary and secondary eyes is also discussed. Furthermore,

Photopolymer Material for Holography

Applied Optics, 1972
An experimental Du Pont holographic photopolymer material produces an index modulation in excess of 10(-2) utilizing a diffusion mechanism. Optimum exposure in air is typically 30 mJ/cm(2) , in nitrogen 3 mJ/cm(2). Composition, beam ratio, and exposure power all affect the index modulation.

Photopolymers for rapid prototyping

Journal of Coatings Technology and Research, 2007
Rapid prototyping by means of stereolithography using different types of photopolymers has gained increasing interest because cellular structures can be built at a high resolution with sub-μm feature sizes. Structures made with digital light processing and microstereolithography and rapid prototyping based on two-photon absorption photopolymerization ...
