Quercetin•Zirconium Metal Complexes: Insights from Femto to Millisecond Photobehavior

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 31, Issue 35, June 23, 2025.
The switching off of excited‐state intramolecular proton transfer (ESIPT), followed by the switching on of ligand‐to‐metal charge transfer (LMCT) processes in quercetin (QRT)•Zr complexes, is crucial for generating Zr‐bound QRT radicals that exhibit significantly shorter lifetimes compared to free QRT radicals.

Exclusive Z0 photoproduction at the Large Hadron Collider and the Future Circular Collider

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2020
In this paper we present a comprehensive analysis of the exclusive Z0 photoproduction in pp, pPb and PbPb collisions for the energies of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and of the proposed Future Circular Collider (FCC).

Mass Effects in Hard Exclusive Photoproduction of $J/\Psi$ Mesons

open access: yes, 2002
We report on an attempt to describe hard exclusive photoproduction of $J/\Psi$ mesons, i.e. the reaction $\gamma p \to J/\Psi p$, by means of a modified version of the hard-scattering approach, in which the proton is treated as a quark-diquark rather ...

Constructing Large‐Area Oriented Covalent Organic Framework Based PN Heterostructure Films to Enhance Artificial Photosynthesis of H2O2

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, Volume 137, Issue 25, June 17, 2025.
We propose for the first time the concept of organic‐inorganic hybrid oriented PN heterostructured films to modulate the photocatalytic performance by constructing COF‐based PN heterostructured films, and our mechanistic studies confirm that oriented TAPB‐DMTA COFs based on thin films of PN heterostructures can provide the driving force to enhance the ...

Photoproduction of Pentaquark $\Theta^+$ and Chiral Symmetry Restoration in Hot and Dense Medium

open access: yes, 2006
The photoproduction rate of pentaquark $\Theta^+$ is calculated in a hot and dense medium. At high temperature and density, due to the restoration of chiral symmetry, photoproduction energy threshold is increased.

Elimination of the flavodiiron electron sink facilitates long-term H2 photoproduction in green algae

open access: yesBiotechnology for Biofuels, 2019
Background The development of renewable and sustainable biofuels to cover the future energy demand is one of the most challenging issues of our time. Biohydrogen, produced by photosynthetic microorganisms, has the potential to become a green biofuel and ...

Nuclear shadowing in photoproduction of ρ mesons in ultraperipheral nucleus collisions at RHIC and the LHC

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2016
We argue that with an increase of the collision energy, elastic photoproduction of ρ mesons on nuclei becomes affected by the significant cross section of photon inelastic diffraction into large masses, which results in the sizable inelastic nuclear ...

Double neutral pion photoproduction at threshold

open access: yes, 1996
We consider the chiral expansion of the threshold amplitude for the reaction $\gamma p \to \pi^0 \pi^0 p$ to order ${\cal O}(M_\pi^2)$. We substantiate a claim that this photoproduction channel is significantly enhanced close to threshold due to pion ...

Coupled channel model of the scalar isovector meson photoproduction

open access: yesEPJ Web of Conferences, 2017
We present the coupled channel model of the scalar isovector resonance photoproduction including the πη, KK̅ and πη′ channels and calculate resulting mass distribution and the cross section in the πη channel.
