Graphene Oxide as an Auxiliary UV Photoprotector for Polypropylene

open access: yesPolymer Composites, Volume 46, Issue 16, Page 14986-15000, 10 November 2025.
Auxiliary UV Protection. ABSTRACT This work presents the preparation and characterization of polypropylene (PP)/graphene oxide (GO) nanocomposites by adding photostabilizing additives to obtain materials with enhanced resistance to photodegradation. The synthesized GO (modified Hummers' method) was characterized using state‐of‐the‐art techniques.

Monitoring the Coating of Single DNA Origami Nanostructures with a Molecular Fluorescence Lifetime Sensor

open access: yesSmall, Volume 21, Issue 32, August 14, 2025.
A molecular cyanine dye sensor reports on the coating of DNA origami with a polymer or silica by an increase in its fluorescence lifetime. The reversibility of the fluorescence lifetime shift enables the noninvasive real‐time probing of the coating even in degrading conditions.

Carrier Trapping Deactivation by Halide Alloying in Formamidinium‐Based Lead Iodide Perovskites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 34, Issue 50, December 9, 2024.
Formamidinium lead iodide (FAPbI3) is the current benchmark perovskite composition for near‐infrared emitters. Halide alloying with bromide in FAPbI3 reduces the activity of the detrimental interstitial iodide, obtaining perovskite compositions with improved optoelectronic properties, including improved photo‐stability and reduced trapping of charge ...
