Co-Doping Approach for Enhanced Electron Extraction to TiO2 for Stable Inorganic Perovskite Solar Cells. [PDF]

open access: yesSmall Sci
TiO2 is highly relevant in photoelectrochemistry, (photo)catalysis, and sensor applications, where high conductivity is crucial. Herein, a co‐doping strategy for TiO2 using Nb(V) and Sn(IV) is developed, enhancing electron extraction from perovskite and improving solar cell efficiency and stability.

Degradation and Self‐Healing of FAPbBr3 Perovskite under Soft‐X‐Ray Irradiation

open access: yesSmall Methods, Volume 7, Issue 9, September 20, 2023., 2023
The optoelectronic properties of formamidinium lead tri‐bromide (FAPbBr3) films are monitored under synchrotron‐generated X‐rays by photoemission spectroscopy and micro‐photoluminescence. Initially, material degradation manifests with stoichiometric changes and quenching of photoluminescence emission.

Renewable energies and biodiversity: Impact of ground‐mounted solar photovoltaic sites on bat activity

open access: yesJournal of Applied Ecology, Volume 60, Issue 9, Page 1752-1762, September 2023., 2023
Ground‐mounted solar photovoltaic developments have a significant negative effect on bat activity, and should be considered in appropriate planning legislation and policy. Solar photovoltaic developments should be screened in Environmental Impact Assessments for ecological impacts, and appropriate mitigation (e.g.

Discrete Donor–Acceptor Pair Transitions in CH3NH3PbI3 Perovskite Single Crystals

open access: yesphysica status solidi (RRL) – Rapid Research Letters, Volume 17, Issue 7, July 2023., 2023
Herein, the low‐temperature photoluminescence of high‐quality CH3NH3PbI3 perovskite single crystals is investigated. Important variations in shape and intensity of the defect emission are observed and are explained by donor–acceptor pair (DAP) recombination in presence of potential fluctuation.

The Role of Interfacial Energetics and Defects on The Efficiency of Tin Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesSmall, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Tin perovskites are emerging as a sustainable alternative to lead‐based photovoltaics, yet their efficiency remains limited by energy‐level mismatch and intrinsic instability from tin oxidation. Progress is further hindered by inconsistent electrical behavior, obscuring the true bottlenecks of device performance.

Ab Initio Investigation of MgXe, Its Cation Mg+Xe and Clusters Mg+Xen: Electronic Structure, Spectroscopic Properties, and Temperature‐Dependent Absorption Spectra

open access: yesInternational Journal of Quantum Chemistry, Volume 126, Issue 13, July 5, 2026.
Accurate potential energy curves, spectroscopic constants, and transition dipole moments were determined for the Mg+Xe and MgXe complexes. Spin–orbit effects were explicitly included for the Mg+Xe ionic system. Monte Carlo simulations were employed to investigate Mg+Xen clusters, and the temperature dependence of their absorption spectra was analyzed ...

Influence of the Chemical Composition on the Perovskites Anharmonicity: Toward a Stable Inorganic Perovskite

open access: yesSolar RRL, Volume 10, Issue 6, 29 March 2026.
This study investigates the effect of the chemical composition on the properties of A(BB’)(XX’)3$_3$ inorganic halide perovskites with density functional theory. By correlating distortion amplitudes with both composition and the Goldschmidt tolerance factor, we propose a pragmatic approach to designing more stable and efficient perovskites, advancing ...

Physics‐Based Machine Learning Electroluminescence Models for Fast yet Accurate Solar Cell Characterization

open access: yesProgress in Photovoltaics: Research and Applications, Volume 34, Issue 1, Page 116-131, January 2026.
Machine learning (ML) enables fast and reliable prediction of series resistance and dark saturation current maps from voltage‐dependent electroluminescence of silicon solar cells. Two ML algorithms, a multilayer perceptron (MLP) and a modified U‐NET (mU‐NET), are analyzed. They are compared to nonlinear least squares fitting to assess their performance.

Potential of Photovoltaic and Diesel Off‐Grid Systems for Irrigation in Brazil Considering Carbon Credits

open access: yesIrrigation and Drainage, Volume 74, Issue 4, Page 1553-1574, October 2025.
ABSTRACT Irrigation is a crucial practice for the security of rural businesses, ensuring agricultural production even in periods without rainfall. This work aimed to analyse the financial viability of an off‐grid photovoltaic (PV) system as an alternative to traditional energy sources for pumping irrigation in Brazilian agricultural areas.
